The Big Lebowski 2?!? (http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2011/02/01/big-lebowski-2-in-the-works/?hpt=T2)
I don't know if I like the idea. The original was perfect and I can't see a reason to make a sequel, other than to generate revenue. But if it's still a Coen Brothers movie I'm sure it will kick ass.

QuoteI spoke with Joel and Ethan Coen today (look for that story closer to Oscar time) and mentioned Reid's comments.
Ethan responded with a chuckle, saying, "I'm glad she's working on it."
When I asked if they actually had something in the works, Ethan said, "Well, we don't but we'll watch it when it comes out." To which Joel quickly added, "Especially if Tara's in it."

god dammit this thread is making me want a nice cold white russian right now.
So late night a few weeks back I am flipping through the channels and the Dude is on TV. I watch it for a second, even though it's edited because it's the Dude. It's the scene where they go to Larry's house and smash up the car.
The edited version, and I was dying when I heard it, Walter says:
"Do you see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps, Larry? Do you see what happens when you feed a farmer scrambled eggs, Larry?"

I've watched the edited Lebowski on Comedy Central... Jesus never even makes an appearance. He is completely edited out of the movie... which is hilarious!

I've seen that version, I liked when Jackie Treehorn asks The Dude if he'd like another white russian. In the regular version The Dude's answer is 'Does the pope shit in the woods?', but in that edited version he say's 'Sure, John Fogertty would.' alluding to The Dude's love of CCR.

The Fisher King is actually a part of the Grail Legend and cited in Eliot's The Wasteland.
Fascinating stuff that you do not need to know anything about to enjoy the movie.

Well, we finally watched it today. It's now only $0.99 to rent on Prime. And that is way to much to pay for this movie. It is utterly terrible. There isn't a single good thing to say about it. It was like it was written by a 9 year old, there was no story, the characters had no characteristics, the dialogue was incomprehensible. Stay away from this movie at all cost!
