flipping out over there still being 68 days to go: priceless!  :crazy:

A steady diet of WWOZ streams will make those 68 days fly by.

Along with a rotation of my rebirth, dr. john, and james booker pandora stations (typed as fess's big chief comes on  8-) )

Really, this is one of my favorite parts though, these months leading up to it, the anticipation, the excitement.

Most definitely. It'll go in the jauntistory...about the drummers first trip to nola, and how that was a turning point for the band, adding horns, etc...

Watched this the other night off netflix, funky Meters set from Jazzfest 2000, decent set, but it's the 30 mins of interview footage afterwards with Art and George that's worth getting the dvd for.

In any case, time for my daily mental break, exhausted, and all the noise I'm getting thrown at me this morning makes this the most appropriate:
