Just think how many distinct jam segments from the Providence Bowie would totally "make" any other single jam. I've heard this cut countless times, and every time I re-listen, I'm astounded all over again.

wow, best bowie EVER lost in the first round?  wack.  guess i'm the only one that likes "flow" over "moments". but disregard, cuz it might be another 12 months before i pop in again.

I think "flow" and improvisational complexity and variety can coexist. In this case I think the Providence Bowie moves fluidly between its many, many impressive segments.

clearly i disagree with this statement.  i think its like 5 5min moments instead of one cohesive flowing jam (like 7/30 is).

the fact that it was seeded as a #4 is a crime.  it should be a #1 or #2

ETA: forgot to mention, I went Providence. I agree with jedi that the flow of the Ventura version is something serious, but Providence has it all and the transitions between the segments make it feel more like a single cohesive jam than distinct segments to me.
