1st set > expectations > 2nd set

Maze was cool, though. Probably get a meatier 2nd set tomorrow. Too bad it's up against game 7.
I can guarantee, that game 7 will be much better then the Phish show. Look at the set from 3 days ago and......bingo!! that will be tomorrow. Tomorrows game is going to be incredible. No more second chances. Winner takes all

WhatstheUse?

Bring in the dude!

Caught the second set at a webcast at a bar, I had fun.

Seriously though, DWD> Maze was a highlight.  The rest was alright.  I agree, a lot of weird repeats was really surprised to see Meatstick again in particular.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

Highlight had to be Light Up or Leave Me Alone.

Not really a big fan of Carini but the Sand DWD Maze combo packed a punch.  It's easier to overlook all the repeats and killed jams when you're on the couch having only forked over $15, rather than having travelled really far and spent a ton of cash.

I thought Bathtub Gin was a bizarre mix of energy and slop.

Does a show have to have mega bust outs to considered good?

I had a great time watching from the couch. The band looked happy and subsequently made me happy. Well-played too, so no real complaints from me. Go ahead, abuse me now for liking Phish.

All of these things.

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

Standard fare I see.  Surprised that they didn't throw down for the webcast.

You're entitled to your opinion but I'm going to laugh at it.

Undermind

Yeah not a fan of Meatstick, especially in the 2nd set.  It was a downer at Great Woods too.

Meh.  That was below average to me.  I saw some positive things, but overall I felt like they defaulted to their 3.0 fall backs for the show.  I did really like the DWD jam and Maze as well.
Can we talk about the Dead?  I'd love to talk about the fucking Grateful Dead, for once, can we please discuss the Grateful FUCKING Dead!?!?!?!

This guy pretty much nailed it...

Yeah, pretty decent fluffing there, not too over the top.

He's not wrong about the good parts of the show. The Light Up was, indeed, amazing. The Maze was worthy of it's 2nd set placement. The second half of the 2nd set was weak sauce, and he said so. The Quinn was solid.
