I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

Love this show, have only seen the actual show on sites online (http://tv-links.cc/tv/trailer-park-boys.htm#), but I picked up the movie for 10 bucks at Best Buy.  I don't think it airs on any network in the US, but you can buy the seasons on DVD at amazon.

Great show.  I couldn't believe it was on tv when I first saw the show.  It's actually filmed a couple of hrs from my town.  Those boys are pretty much in character whenever you see them.  A friend of mine played in a rec hockey league with Ricky and he was the crudest, meanest goon on the ice.

I've been racking my brains, running through my record collection in my mind to tell you what records are my secret shame and I've decided i have none. I love everything I own and am proud of it. Music should bring joy, not guilt.

I read something (somewhere ) that they are taking this year off, maybe filming a special of some sort, them coming back for another season, then possibly another movie.

edit (from their wiki):

The cast and crew took the summer of 2007 off, although the production of another special one-hour episode will take place.[2] It is uncertain if the show will return for future seasons, but Showcase is indicating that there will be a final season of the show that will film in 2008 and air in 2009. There are rumors also indicating a spin-off of the series in the future.

In 2008, Wells, Tremblay, and Smith attended UFC 83 in Montreal. It was said that there would be another season, although details were not announced.

In January 2009, the boys will be in character at Massey Hall in Toronto, Canada. They will be performing the Ricky, Julian and Bubbles Community Service Variety Show. The premise is that they are fulfilling court order community service and must put on a puppet show aimed to demonstrate the dangers of using alcohol and drugs. They have previously performed the show to good reviews across the Maritimes.

Currently a sequel to "The Big Dirty" is now being filmed.[3]

Started the first season of this on Netflix, and am about halfway through. Pretty funny, and I'd never heard of this show so thanks for the bump.

"I'm going to have a hard time keeping that a secret.".
I enjoyed how he broke into the trailer to retrieve the porn tape......with beverage in hand. It was a nice touch.
Dysfunction and itemized lists of people's failures are where it's at.

Still making my way through the series, but this is one of his better monologues:
