second set is great

hate is strong for this melt though.

wow really... Not a big 3.0 melt fan, but this one seems to be a different beast to me.  dunno

I like how the jam starts out and then just turns into some mangled bundle of.....dissonance, noise, and effects and then trey starts yelling "woo" to the sound of the looped effects.....just not a fan.

His eyes were clean and pure but his mind was so deranged

I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

Can we talk about the Dead?  I'd love to talk about the fucking Grateful Dead, for once, can we please discuss the Grateful FUCKING Dead!?!?!?!

PIE-GUY

you really not know who Krasno is? That's surprising to me.

Nope. Why?

I don't know - seems like you spend enough time seeing music in NYC and BKLYN that you'd know Soulive at least. I've seen Kras sit in with countless bands over the years at Jazzfest. I assume he does a ton of that around NYC, too.

But it's funk music, not indie-pop, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Never seen Soulive.
I think I heard them once and I didn't like it.

WhatstheUse?

I really dug parts of this Chalkdust.

They hit a lot of familiar 3.0 territory (once again, tons of I>IV jamming) but they were going for it. I really like the middle dark/minor section the it -- The boys were jamming. Trey didn't really force and endings.

fishman, on the other hand, was 0 for 3 on ending CDT>Light>Tweezer -- he pretty much dropped the ball on all those endings/transitions.

Wish I could have been there.
Bring in the dude!
