with music i purchase from i tunes will i be able to.......burn to cd so i can play in my car?convert the files which i assume will be aac format to wav?will they be aac?is there anything else i should know?

Yep.
They will be AAC (m4a) so there is really no need to convert to .wav.

To burn a CD, Go to File > create new playlist and add the songs you want to burn to CD.
Then right click on your new playlist and select "burn to disc".
