I took a look at it but couldn't see a reason to mess with it.

Free Portal, if you never played it's enough of a reason.

I literally couldn't see a reason.
The link just says, it's free, download it.

No screen shots, no description even...

I did download it last night after you post about it being the best game ever.

It doesn't suck.

1st post from my new Macbook Pro.
question - when I typed in the security code for my modem, I made a mistake. Now I can't get back to the screen to re-type in codes, and can't find it on Apples Support page.
Anyone?
thanks

Edit - nevermind. Verizon tech support was able to help.

I gots lots of work to do

Nice Steve, congrats....you'll have that thing dialed in no time....enjoy...

OK - this may be a dumb one, but I've got to move a lot of files over to an accessory drive, then to the mac, etc - so
before you disconnect something from a pc, you are supposed to click "OK to remove hardware".
does Mac have anything like that or do you just pull the plug out. I seem to remember that you could eject a floppy (remember those) by putting it in the trash.
thanks again

It's always best to eject/unmount drive before you unplug....You can either drag the icon into the trash (which will then show up as the 'eject' symbol) or highlight the icon and hit command-e (that's what I do).....

I'll get this thing figured out yet

I was tapping with two fingers on items to get the context menu to eject. Thanks for the Command-e tip.

Welcome to team mac, steve. I love it and bet that you will too.
