First I watched "No Country for Old Men" which might be one of the best movies I have seen in a long, long time.  Also watched "I am Legend" and it was alright, was super pissed about what happened to Sam however.  I hate that sort of thing, I'm a big softy and that really bothered me, although right from the get go I knew that it was going to happen and I just waiting for it.  Not to ruin it for anyone else, but that's why my wife told me never to watch a movie were the one of the main characters is an animal, because that's what always happens.
"There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese."          -Bobby Finstock

Ok  and i guess i should also admit that i went to see '27 Dresses' with a friend the other night....It was pretty cute and amusing, but as a chick i can be a softy for a sweet romantic comedy, but not totally lame....perhaps if the wife is interested, its really not all bad.

heh.
i went to see Juno with some gal pals... we walked by this poster at the theatre...
we all spoke up about kinda wanting to see it...

wasn't too sure tho, hadn't really heard anything about if it's good or bad...

p.s.
maybe i just missed out on hearing about it...
but has anyone heard anythign about the new m.night movie, the happening with marky-mark & zooey deschanel?

You're entitled to your opinion but I'm going to laugh at it.

Cloverfield.

the friend i saw it with described it as '9/11 porn.'
hard to disagree.
lots of people running and screaming as new york is demolished.
the monster is kind of cool, yet not very memorable.
godzilla may have looked infinitely cheezier way back in the day, but at least he had personality.

other major problem as that all of the characters are white, 20-something yuppie pricks you hate.
well, that and story is really dumb.

hm. i guess this wasn't very good.

Just got back, and I kinda liked it... It was nothing like any other monster movies, and while the plot was nothing special, that sort of added to the experience.  Life isn't like a movie, and they tried to make a completely unrealistic event true to the way people act without hollywood dramatization, and I thought they did a good job at that.  I don't know if anyone knows this but after the loooonnnnng-ass credits there is a backwards audio clip that says something to the effect of: 'It's still alive'.  Sequel?  I don't know how I feel about that...but it does have a sick ass monster:

Boo to you for spoiling the monster.
FYP and considered a -k (but didn't do it.)

Typical, shrouded-in-mystery, whole-lotta-hubbub, amounting to a pile of crap movie. He shoulda quit after Unbreakable (which wasn't even that good.)

Terminal was on network TV Sat night. Really enjoyed it.
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

Watched "Talk To Me" with Don Cheadle.  It's the Petey Green story.  I thought it was really good, Cheadle does an amazing job, one of his best performances.  I'd recommend this flick....

QFT ....I think 'The Village' was one of the worst movies I've ever seen, that movie just pissed me off.

willsteele

If I may ask....what bothered you about The Village?
I'm the one who's gonna have to die when it's time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to.

rowjimmy

predictability, horrible acting, ridiculous premise, bad dialog... shall i go on?

haha   Say no more.

I sorta enjoyed it.  But I know what ya mean.
