New episode up today.
Jeffrey Alexander from Dire Wolves joins to talk about their new album, Paradisiacal Mind. It's weird as hell and you guys should check it out.
We then talk a bit about his days on dead tour in the 80s.

After you rock the podcast, be sure to check out the album:

it's on vinyl too:

Another good one dude.  Keep it up!  Liked the weird track, will check them out if they ever come around.  Good convo and not sure if I have ever heard that Roanoke show though I did see two of the Dylan Dead shows on that tour.  The Comes a Time is indeed a keeper.  :beers:

No guest this time, just me musing on the ever expanding universe of Grateful Dead...

New episode.
Instead of looking at New Year's shows, I'm looking at 12/27 shows because today is 12/27.

Good stuff. Didn't get into the 80s this go-round.

40 years ago, The Grateful Dead played their final tour with Keith & Donna.
That's my topic on the latest episode: https://brokedownpodcast.blogspot.com/2019/01/035-winter-tour-79-pt-1.html

Another good one dude.  I've really been enjoying these a lot.  January '79 is great, but has some uneven spots so I appreciate you trimming the fat and distilling some goodness.  Don't think I have ever heard the Springfield show.  I have also been having some good luck with Relisten random picks.  Got a hot January '78 yesterday and Soldier Field '91 today which has a good Shakedown among other things.  Thanks!

Thanks, I'll check this one out at work tomorrow.

New episode!
Ep 36 features Santa Cruz based singer/songwriter Steven Graves. He's a nice guy who put a sweet version of Sugaree on his latest record. We talk for a bit, I spin a little of his stuff and then I dive into a sick tape from 1970.

dig it

BdP goes weekly?!

Episode 38 is up and features Tom Malach from Garcia Peoples! Garcia Peoples is a kickass band with an excellent new album set to drop in March. We play a little of their live stuff and then some Grateful Dead.
Dig it.

Third ep in as many weeks...
It's Bill Payne from Little Feat!

This was pretty cool. Dude is, obviously, a legend and was very kind. Great little chat followed by some great music.
Enjoy!

Been listening in the car this morning... just had to stop it at "I called Mike Gordon the next morning and thanked him."

Good shit! Congrats on everything, RJ. Your podcast has really hit its stride, my friend.
