But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

Oh..., i guess i'll give this a shot, even though my appreciation of existing acts is weak, or at least at this point in their careers(i.e.- i'd take the Stones from 30 yrs ago, not from 2005).
Also, i picked only acts that are currently together.

Early Show*:
1. G. Clinton & the P-funk all stars
2. the Fugees
3. the Roots- featuring all their normal guests: Dead Prez, Common, Black Star, etc.

Intemission w/ 'elevator shake-well music' provided by:
4. MMW

Late Show**:
5. ABB (w/ dickey and warren)
6. the Black Crowes
7. Phil & Friends-- (lineup w/ C.Robinson as frontman used last winter)

*personally, i would probably hang out in the lot untill the start of the third act.
**all late show acts 'cross-fertalized' and sharing members and jams

wow, good thread, -it has the power to depress me more every time i read it, because it makes me realize how little music is out there that i actually give a shit about. seriously i don't even think i would pay to see three or four of the bands I  chose. damn... :-(   :-P

actually, I have the opposite problem - I was thinking of adding an extra half day with Hot Tuna, Branford Marsalis, and Phil and Friends. Or maybe I just have lower standards.
