You're gonna love this one.

BTW, worst cop presence ever at this show. Full riot gear.

dinner/movie- big kickdown (almost a year gap) and lots of fun
bouncin- fish flubs the intro two or three times which is pretty funny
reba- off to a good start, i like the slow down part with the cymbals.  This then builds really nicely with trey having some nice effects (a bit of loops or something) and then has a great release.  W/the whistle ending too
lawnboy- the chairman of the boards
punch- a bit more drawn out and a little sloppy brilliance.
slave- a bit early to end the set eh? whatever, i will always to take a slave.  This is a really enjoyable one, again with trey using some good distortion or something.  Big smiles here
Im Blue- acoustic style! Mike does well with the vocals too
Sample- lots of energy

chess move- so glad i got to see a few shows on this tour.  the chess game is a lot of fun
ac/dc- lots of energy from everyone, but then trey takes off about 7mins in and he rages for the next couple minutes.  I like how this fizzles away into
Simple- super fast and lots of fun
Free- awesome! I like a good free, except this is not a good one.  Just when things look like they are going to get interesting, trey starts looping and hops on the mini kit.  The result is ok but gawdamn boy, you are guitar player, play the guitar! Page tries to salvage the jam but he cant break free.
im so tired- nice! another kickdown.  Is this mike on the vocals? i like it
yem- wow this is a beast of yem.  This show has good balance on the slightly sloppy focused jam, but i dont mean sloppy in a bad way.  Things are just a little looser than the 94 stuff we have been listening to, which allows for a little more freedom to explore.  The jam is really nice and there is a full on Brickhouse in the middle.  Drum and bass is nice but the vocal thing goes on a little too long.  Good stuff though
contact- always welcome
bbfcfm- lots of dark fire in this>
acoustic army- one of the better acoustic armies i have heard. trey almost sounds like he is doing something from zeppelin>
bbfcfm- there is a 30 second snippet of something between AA/reprise that is really nice.  Why do I try? rocking!
cavern- big and booming.  trey rips on this

bill bailey- fun encore with pages dad.  His scatting is iffy but he puts his heart into it and it is fun

Good show with a few bustouts and some serious in the reba and yem.  Setlist has a bit of everything without ever slowing down.  B+/A-

This YEM is probably the most underrated YEM evar.  I like it even better than GASP 12/9/95.

This YEM deserves the fluff. It's bad ass to the max.

Well, since no one else seems to be reviewing these shows and I haven't heard this one in ages, I thought I'd throw this one on at work today:

Dinner & a Movie - Fiery opener that's played super-tight.

Bouncing - A shaky start, but otherwise standard

Reba - This one has a real fast pace(which I love).  It sounds like Page even tries to speed up ~2:30, but Trey says, "Easy there...let's not get too crazy, Page."  The boys are truly ON here.  Near perfect composed section.  Given the pace to this one, it's almost unfathomable.  A truly gorgeous jam follows making this one a keeper for sure.

Lawnboy - Cool down

PYITE - Pick me up

Slave - This is an example of everything that a great Slave should be.  Just a beautiful build to a glorious climax.  All in attendance are surely on cloud 9 at this point.

Blue and Lonesome - Always dug this one.

Sample - To close out the set

AC/DC Bag - They bring this one down a bit as the jam starts, with Page on the clav.  Almost went into a bit of funk jam, but Trey changes directions.  They don't slam into it when it gets to double time, but it eventually gets pretty hot.  Solid version.

Sparkle -

Free - Pretty much a classic example of the most played song of '95.  And that is not a bad thing.

I'm So Tired - I forgot they did this.  Not the easiest one for Mike to sing.  Not surprised this was the last time played.

YEM - With bird call whistling.  Decent composed section.  The Brick House jam is mildly entertaining.  Although the good stuff starts ~12:30 when they abandon it with some heavy muted wah from Trey.  Page gets a bit of a solo spot and they go into a short jam that leads quickly to what appears to be the B&D segement.  Trey goes over to the mini-kit and instead of going into the vocal jam, Page jumps on piano and Trey jumps back on guitar and they continue to jam.  Then the effects come in.  Trippy, aliens are coming finish.  I'm sure Kuroda was blowing people's minds here.  A bit more craziness ensues for a few minutes and we finally get to the vocal jam.

Contact - Page tears this one up!

BBFCFM > Acoustic Army > BBFCFM - Pretty much a joke.  I'm sure they were sitting around the night before thinking about sandwiching one of their mellowest compositions inside BBFCFM, thinking "why the hell not?"

Cavern - To close out the set.

Bill Bailey - Really fun way to end the show.  Great stuff.

That was a fun listen.  The Reba was definitely the highlight.  Great version.  The rest of the show wasn't too shabby either.  B+.  I haven't listened to a whole tour in quite a while.  Think I might have to revisit Fall '95 after hearing this.

Thanks RJ.  I was too busy hitting powder like Scarface this week to get this up.  BTW, Vail and Beaver Creek got pounded like I have never seen before.  Best skiing in years for me.

Dinner - First in 93 shows. Hadn't opened a show since 07-12-1991. Virtually flawless.

Bouncing - Not since 11-12-1995! Problems with the intro. Like, big time. Other than that, OK.

Reba - Superfast! The speed trips them up a little bit during a few spots. OK jam, not overly noteworthy. Seems like Fish ended the jam a little prematurely.

Lawn - Miss the Page solos, although Mike kills it these days.

PYITE - Trey is channeling Santana a little more than usual during the solo.

Slave - '95 saw a lot more first set Slaves. Trey on mini-kit to start the jam. Kinda standard.

B & L - Backwards & Line-Numbered.

Sample - Very short 1st set. Odd choice for a closer, too. Wonder if there was a problem that made them cut it short. Seems like an Antelope would have followed.

ACDC - Chunky start to jam.

Sparkle - Having a little fun with the intro.

Free - *LUV* the '95 versions.

So Tired - 2nd and last. Not as good as Halloween, but keeping up with the Show Club Beatles theme....

YEM - Whistling during nirvana section. Great composed. Brick House teases start before tramps. Trey comes in a sings for a few measures. Doesn't seem like he really cares about his pitch, tho... :wink:Supra funky jam ensues. Trey hops on the mini-kit for a bit before a return to the funk. Then......more mini-kit. Super spacy, thanks to Page. Reminds me a lot of the Halloween version. They return to the WUDMTF vocals, but super so, a la the 10-21 SDCK. One of the classic versions.

Contact - Some extra Page brilliance.

BBFCFM - The classic 1-2. Trey is waving the megaphone which eventually leads them to >>>

Acoustic - Odd, yet cool placement. Spaces out and returns to >>>

BBFCFM - Sammy.

Cavern - Weirder than normal intro.

Bailey - 164 shows. Not since 04-22-1994.

Cool pick.
I'll give it a B+/B
