I really like the "vacation tapes" segment of that.  it rules.

As for me,  I had a baby that could not sleep, so we watched the Radiohead "In Rainbows" special again.  The song on that album are just SO good.  I am still amazed and impressed every time I hear it.  To see them play it live adds to the greatness of it for me.  Those guys really know where it's at.....

so, review?
I like the show and DVD much more than I thought I would (received as a B-day gift). Not the best of 78, but very good. Highlights for me are Stella Blue and Fire, but strong versions of Row Jimmy, LLR, It's All Over now, Candyman also.

As far as the vid goes, I agree with Caravan about the travel section. Bill Walton appears a few times.
Jerry looks funny in pig tails; looks like he's having fun. More animated than I'm used to seeing him.
Playing in front of the Pyramids and the Sphinx - can't imagine. Must have been very humbling.
I was looking forward to seeing some of the bedouins dancing in the distance, like Phil and Bobby described, but there probably wasn't enough light to film them.

Edit to add: Bobby should never have tried to play slide
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

The Bonnaroo 2008 DVD....some of it was great, some of it pretty meh.

I thought they could have picked some different artists put on the DVD, as many of the highlights the festival were left out completely!

No B.B. King, no Willie, no Plant/Krauss, no Phil and Friends, no YMSB, no Sigur Ros, etc.  I was little disappointed.
