do you just pour it into the cup during races?

I premixed into a 20 oz. bottle.
And that was all the hydration/nutrition I needed for 20 miles.
The packets are small enough thatif you want to carry one during a Marathon, it would be easy to tear it open and refill your bottle at an aid station.
Today was cold, so I generally sip one ounce each mile.
I can see needing more for hotter days, tho.

Also, huge breakthrough yesterday.
Didn't look at my watch and set my app to 15 minutes with no other feedback.
So instead of getting pace/overall pace/time at every mile, I just got a chime of "15 minutes completed".

Set out for 3 hrs and just enjoyed every minute of it.
This is gonna be my plan for Philly in 3 wks.
No feedback. Just run my race.

thats a great plan!

back a few years ago, i had been hot n heavy with the running, becoming more and more obsessed with splits and pace and mileage... and then one day i realized i no longer enjoyed my runs.. i didn't look forward to them, in fact, dreaded them, and generally hated it when i was running.

so i quit using the nike app, and just went running.... and i fell in love with running again!

so kudos to you for looking at it again, and just running!

Nice!
I hear ya about splits.
You become obsessed and while it can help, it does detract from the enjoyment of running.

sls.stormyrider

agreed.
unless I'm training for a race, I rarely run with a watch

Yeah, this.
Pretty that cool people can track his progress (not that I'm doing that).

Feeling pretty good about tomorrow.

Had a great race today in Philly and set a new PR with a 3:47.
Super pumped and super sore!
Gonna go eat and celebrate in a bit.

5k on Thanksgiving morning is up next.
Trying to at least place, but we'll see what my legs say about all that.

Well done, sir.

In PGLHAH news: I'm officially down 50 lbs this morning. Pretty shocking number... Not that I'm down that much, just that I was up enough that I could lose 50 and still be overweight (which I defitely am).

Next milestone will be getting down under 2 bills. Soon. Very soon.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul
