Ran a 5K today (with a 180ft climb in mile 1  :-o) in 19:18/6:08p. Fun times.

Next up is the Long Island Marathon in 2 weeks and then I'll focus on some speed throughout the Summer.

:-o

That's, like... high school race time for a 5k.

 :-D

Should have been an easy sub-19 without that darn climb!
I forgot how much I love/hate short distance racing!

Ran a few kms with my daughter today.
Not close to everyone else in this thread but fun to get out.
Bring on the Spring.
Everything is connected, because it's all being created by this one consciousness. And we are tiny reflections of the mind that is creating the universe.

Bring on the Spring is right. Brisk, early spring morning run yesterday. It was great.
Marathon relay coming up in a little less than a month. Have some work to do

Used to be my wheelhouse, especially the downhills--I'd pass tons of guys there & keep the lead. Not as a scoring runner, but still.

Nice!
Yeah, it's easy to spot the runners that train on hills and the track guys.
I'd lose my mind if I could only train flat!

Also, do you know the top times from the OG Run Jim 5K?

The winners of the Runaway Jim 5k were: 1. Ethan McBrien 15:23 / 1. Katie Harrington 17:19 / 2. David Cook 15.35 / 3. Finn McCool 15:55.

ETA: Finn McCool is the winner, just because of his name...

DAYYUMMMMM!

I guess the guy that won was like a big deal runner at UVM.  But I also read that he was up until 4:30 pounding beers at his campsite the night before.  Must have been Coors Light.  We all know the Silver Bullet doesn't slow you down  :beers:

Nice work dude.  I was however disappointed to see you in running shorts and not cargo shorts.

Is that your PR for all marathons or just for the LI?  Either way, amazing job.

I ended up in a road race this morning. On my bike. It wasn't cool. There were hundred of runners in both directions. Had to ride in it for about a mile until I had an exit lol. Also just found out that the Portland Marathon is cancer this year. Apparently the Director, who I have met in a bar at the airport, took all of the 2018 entrance fees and a bunch of other dough and dipped. He got hot but the race is shelved until they reorganize.

Marathon PR!

That's craziness about the RD.
I've heard of some shadiness with those color and foam run things, but rarely with big city races.

Truly amazing!

You straight beastin' Aug!

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

Thanks, man!
Been having some fun this year!
