tonights LST should be published as a work of fine literature.

Good call, let's post the entire thread, as a quote, in the What Are You Reading Now? Thread.

Yeah man! What's the word on the show? Folks are concerned that you will fluff this date because you didn't skip contrary to popular advice (apparently).

Highs? Lows? Did you hit either?

back at the hotel in Durham eating ice cream.

amazing show, fantastic way to kick off the southern leg.  My first Llama, which was well played, and then Roses are Free.  At this point I had about 3 hours sleep in the past 38 hours (we left mobile, al at 11:00pm wednesday and drove 12 hours to durham where we then napped), so the Roses really got to me and yes I teared up. love that song, love ween.

the rest of set I was chill and fine but unremarkable. lots of fun, just a standard set. set II is when the heat started. still a very chill show IMO, but just amazing playing.  That bdntl, halleys, light > jam > light is probably the best part of the night. don't sleep on that light jam, some great stuff.  obviously lots of cool covers, though I'd be lying if I said I knew what the hell Have Mercy was before tonight.  Jam after Light Up was awesome, with Trey shredding out the gate. The Boogie On encore was totally random with an awesome type I jam.

great venue, great staff, great crowd. i had a lot of fun tweeting despite the issues with reception in set I.

True, that being said, if they get into Tweep Reprise territory in the Have Mercy tonight, then it goes up the scale in my opinion.

Also, were you phishing for recs on 1996 Phish in your post earlier today?

Oh! That! No, no, no, you're not ready to step into The Court of the Crimson King. At this stage in your training an album like that could turn you into an evil scientist.

ok. it *may* have been possible for us to make this show.
BUT we woulda had (at least) a 12hour (one way) drive. for one show no less.
thats just insane. between the number of shows we've already seen this tour, cmac's setlist reminding me how unpredictable the band is these days & the number of repeats possible, i wouldnt have even considered going other than it being mbs bday.

that being said, it's very encouraging that phish played a show like this tonight.
it seems like they are seriously on the verge of becoming "Phish" again. or at least really wanting to be that (or better).
we may not have been there but im seriously happy for the people that were.
and tonights show could be a sign that bigger guns may come out in the not so distant future.
::msgnye10 i'm looking in your direction::

but back to postjack:
+k for doing the 12hr drive, tweeting 4 the paug & catching what looks like a great show.
but
-k for not knowing Have Mercy.  :|
