I never grow tired of it, but I would argue that is the 'central theme' of the show; his behavior gets him into all kinds of trouble. And it would be hard to argue that his behavior isn't obsessive, anxious and overall neurotic.
I loved the scene with the girl getting her first period... she is literally having the worst moment of her entire life, yet his level of agitation matches hers to a tee... and he gets to that point every day about something. It was brilliant having him match her on that level.
