Battle for Net Neutrality and how you can help!
« on: July 12, 2017, 10:30:41 AM »
Hey everyone, I'm sure you've all heard about how Net Neutrality is attempting to be squashed by the big ISPs. I would hope you like the internet in the state its in, free and generally reliable. Please take some time and check out this website, you can send an email to the FCC as well as call congress about this issue.

Please help save the internet! If not the paug would be in a "slow lane" and how will we have LST if we're in a slow lane?!?!?!

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

I was being sarcastic. I am fully in favor of Title II repeal.

And that is why libertarianism is dumb.

And that is why libertarianism is dumb.

If you could point me to a measured, logical argument why Title II regulation is essential to a free functioning internet, my mind is always open to changing. But all I've seen is hyperbolic, ZOMG WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE screeds built on hypotheticals and bad faith assumptions about what the evil corporations are totally going to do in the future. I find these arguments less than convincing.

But like mbw said, I guess we'll just have to go back to the dark internet ages of twenty-aught-fifteen. May God have mercy on us all.

I'm not gonna waste everyone's time presenting a case for corporations like Comcast and Verizon not having your best interests in mind.

That should be self evident.

And if it isn't to you, I'd refer you to my last comment.
