Tried to pre-order the 4S yesterday and they told me it would take 3-4 weeks to receive it.  This can't be right  :?

Pre-orders started last week with a million ordered on day one.
You're at the end of the line.

Yeah we used to see a lot of issues with early adopters having the phone get bricked during a big update. Apple added some connection checking at iOS 4, to make sure the server would be available to re-activate your phone/ipod, but I don't know how that changes with iOS 5 (and not needing a CPU to activate.) I guess it still needs to hit the server and if it's overloaded you might get an error. Apple is smart, now, and releases the iOS update a couple days BEFORE the new phone comes out!
iTunes Match is still in BETA for developers. If you want to take advantage of other iCloud features on a Mac you gotta install 10.7.2 (just came out, too!)
:-o  :frustrated:

seems to me like Apple is doing a pretty good impression of that other operating system.

is the BSOD next?

When Apple decides to start doing its Blackberry impression, then I'll be worried.
Is this still Wombat?

RIM is doing a great job of selling iPhones this week.

I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

Supposedly, the RIM problems are resolved...  But there likely exists a significant backlog of data.

Notification center is tits!

Will start this by saying my droid is very out of date and i hate it because of that, but even though droid did the notification center first, it looks like apple really perfected it by being able to see who text you what within that notification center, where as with droid if you have more than one it jsut says that amount of unread messages. Also i like the flow of the iPhone better then droids. I haven't owned an iPhone yet but will say droids tend to become very laggy. and from what i have seen with iPhones they don't. I like the feature in IOS5 of being able to open into any of your notifications right from the lock screen, and being able to go into individual messages instead of just the broad messaging app. That is a huge pull in for me, but i can see droid coming out with it in an update for there newer phones fairly quickly.

Also, i like having the home screen being your first screen, where as droids it is the middle screen. I was using a different launcher for quite sometime until an update made it shit out on me. That is my biggest problem with Droids, while they are incredible phones with the shit they can do, they get dated very quickly, because there are so many companies that make them. Also, they make me update apps when i don't have the room for updates on my apps, and that is very very annoying.
