This phone is crazy fast!  Such a good decision to wait on using my upgrade.  The 64gb was worth the wait alone IMO and the new hardware is just a plus!

http://www.tuaw.com/2011/10/13/that-hide-the-newsstand-trick-it-works/

QuoteLine up three apps: app 1, Newsstand, app 2. Drag app 1 onto app 2 to create a new folder and then as soon as iOS is getting ready to folder 'em, drag Newsstand into the same group. About 80% of the time, this fails. You get a folder with both apps and Newsstand left out in the cold. When you do, just drag both items back out and start again.

fwiw, I got it on the first try.

Took me 3 attempts, but I got it!

got it, but the problem is I can't move anything into or out of the newstand.
NYT wound up in the newstand. I tried to put ESPN and the Onion in, but couldn't. I tried to take NYT out, and couldn't.
At least now they're all in one folder.

At the bottom of that link it says...

QuoteUpdate: Some commenters are warning that you should not attempt to run Newsstand from a folder.

It would be nice if all the magazine companies and Apple could get along, I'd love to read SI in Newsstand rather than the SI app... but I don't know if we'll ever get to that point.

sls.stormyrider

right - opening NYT from newstand causes a crash. I kept them separate.

I don't follow this thread too closely, so forgive me if this has already been posted.

Pretty cool video though imo.

I wonder if the IBM Watson people are a little pissed that they got scooped by Siri.

Yeah, that's a very good point. Natural language interpretation was the main focus of that whole project. In fact I believe they have finally started putting it to use, working with healthcare professionals:

A little fancier than finding directions to a good pizza joint...
That being said I gotta day that Siri is remarkably helpful!

Has anyone started using iCloud, yet?  :?
