I can't say I've listened to anything from 2009 aside from bits of fest 8 since 2009 (the 2009 nye run also gets a pass because... well it would have been hard to listen to it in 2009.)

I can say that I haven't missed them one bit.

WHAAAT? YOU HAVEN'T LISTENED TO MCGRUPP'S JUNE 09 MIX RECENTLY?

:x

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

He most likely realized it worked better as tp as opposed to entertainment.

Maybe if I upped it as a FLAC... but mp3? Ouch. Too scratchy.

Burgettstown was my favorite show of Burgettstown-->Alpine.

I don't understand why it got so much hate.  I mean the Bowie is flubbed, but I thought the set was over before Bowie started and 3.0 Bowies are teh suck anyways (imo).

While I often find myself agreeing with you on certain jams, your overall taste in phish shows perplexes me.

To each their own.  :-)

I highly enjoyed the show.  A lot of my favorite songs...the show was longer than a normal show...and the YEM to close the second set I thought was pretty raging.  Walk Away is one of my fave "bust out" tunes and it was my first Bike (as an Encore!).  Additionally, I think the crowd at Burggetstown was cooler than the crowds in DC and Alpine.

I loved this show.

Maybe Alpine II was a better show (I enjoyed DC too...but not as much as many here) overall, but I really have a special place in my heart for Burgettstown.

That said, Asheville is really the only show that I saw that summer (Asheville, Knoxville, Pittsburgh-->Alpine) that I revisit nowadays.

Anyway...........

The tube lyric change sounds familiar but I never put any thought into it, I'll hafta listen for it now as I'm curious about it too.

Basically, I'm useless. (at least I'm not bashing you for referencing a 3.0 song)

Yeah, qop = meaningless... but it is read in the mind as "quap", so i figured I'd go ahead and just make it quarter pound.

Actually make that a quarter pound with cheese.
