Does this version have that record skipping/clock tick sound through the tracks like the original one does?  I have no idea what that sound is and it's so annoying

I believe those sounds are from the broadcast itself.

Apart from the Have Mercy, none of them were released already, unlike a lot of the stuff they've released over the past few years.  They should put Shapiro in charge of the official LP releases.

I want a 'Shapiro's Heroes' or 'Kevin's Heavens' series, akin to Dick's Picks.

Driving home from the airport last night they were playing the replay on SXM and I noticed the tick. Fuck that sucks!

Finally got around to listening to this today.  The Gin was my personal highlight from this FTA.  You know its going to be good when Mike is active in the chordal intro.  Trey quotes some 12 bar in between verses.  I like how the jam opens up near 10+.  Mike sounding very much like Love Supreme and the bombastic bass he plays in the Cypress Melt.  I love how the jam peaks into Rift space before they end it and return to the main theme.  The pre-nirvana space that serves as the outro is butter on the top.  Sick version.
