Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, and I've seen almost all of the popular 80s 'rock' bands live... (Poison, Cinderella, Guns N Roses, Sister Christian, Styx, REO Speedwagon, etc.)

mopper_smurf

Carly Simon! Her live album made me dig out the ol' record player. O, and Dreams by Grace Slick. (The Airplane is not a guilty pleasure band BTW)

As a roadie for the Jimi Hendrix Experience, I learned that I should give up being a guitar player. - Lemmy

I feel shame.  Nelly Furtado's first album.  Extreme's "Pornograffiti".  Even contemplated buying the new Madonna album, it's supposed to be her best in years.  Man that was painful, yet liberating all at the same time. Whew!

...and Old School Metal and Hip-Hop....

Don't just stand there, Bust a Move!

Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto..... Man I had that on Vinyl as a kid....

Not that I listen to them, but Italian Job came on last night with Mark Walberg.  This inspired my roomie to bust out some od school youtube clips from Marky Mark and the funky bunch.     That sh** was hilarious.

I was just thinking about a thread like this last weekend and forgot to search for it.

One guilty pleasure band isn't a band, but a songwriter:

Neil Diamond.

Oh yeah.  Dude can write some songs.

I saw them open for Vanilla Ice and M.C. Hammer back in 1989.

Those girls were smoking hot!  And they can belt out a tune.

The subtitle to this photo was "Opeth: the Sigur Ros of Death Metal"

I haven't listened to the newest stuff, but these guys are incredible musicians/song writers, believe it or not.  The lead singer/guitarist Mikael(sp?) is also a badass on the guitar.
