sounds like a dns issue to me, dunno for sure though.  snork says he's been on all day and no problems.  some people who are locked out are apparently talking about it on twitter.

I've gotten this error a couple times in the last two days.  Anyone else?

That's a new one.
For reference, what sort of page were you loading? The main index or a message listing or???

Also, what browser & OS?

Did reloading make it go away?

guyforget

thats definitely a new one, im most interested in what browser you were using.  but, our compression is standard, nothing that should make anything throw errors.

I got that error on Firefox (Windows 7), both times were when I was going from a specific area of the site back into the main index.  Reloading immediately fixed it.  If I get the error again, I'll switch to Chrome and see if it still happens.

ETA:  This also just happened while trying to open a thread...

If no one else chimes in with the same problem, I'm pretty sure we can say it's Dan's problem, not ours.

i'd agree...  i mean, there's nothing i've ever seen that resembles that and i use a ton of different browsers/platforms to access this site.

Upgraded to FF4 just now. Asked me to login (weird), which I did. Quit FF4 and started it up again. Problem solved.

O, and yes FF4 is a lot faster. Paug on.

that looks like for some reason your browser just hung up while loading the page and all it could spit out was some HTML code for what was on said page, like that quote from khalpin
