Buffalo Budd

My buddy dropped by with the recent Deluxe RE of Furr by Blitzen Trapper.
Now there are plenty of reissues that I would never debate picking up when I already have the OG but they added an entire disc of unreleased material including 2 live tracks. They did this one proper.

Photo Booth FTW!!

.md5 and .shn's by Mike Hall (myko@well.com)

Track 1 on CD1 are Jack Straw and Box of Rain from the Sound Check.

The following layout is based on 2x74min plus 1x80min.
I originally received these with the encore on cd2.
I like the sequential flow of a show and so bumped cd3 to 80min to put the encores
at the end while keeping the DS>Eyes> China Doll intact.
To make this 3x74, simply move d3t07 and t08 to d2t10 and 11.

*****CD1:
Jack Straw
Box of Rain
  (sound check)
Loose Lucy
Beat It On Down The Line
Brown Eyed Women
Mexicali Blues
Tennessee Jed
Looks Like Rain
Box of Rain
Row Jimmy

China Cat Sunflower >

*****CD2:

Casey Jones (cut)
  Set 2:

*****CD3:

One More Saturday Night (cut)

Haven't heard this jam in ages.  Super jazzy, trippy.

Hildur Guðnadóttir - Mount A
Max Richter - The Blue Notebooks
Johann Johannsson has some pretty great stuff too. I'd suggest listening to his solo work instead of his scores for movies. Although they are great, it's clear they're more creatively restrained, same with Guðnadóttir's works. PG knows about some great contemporary classical stuff too some stuff he's recommended:Terry Riley, Steve Reich,

- Levels were adjusted during Farmhouse and Jibbo.  I have smoothed them out and the result is two minor pops in Jiboo, but it is ultimately much more desirable than the initial level fluctuations.

Killer.

Honestly haven't checked it out.  I'm sure its fine.  I've been mostly listening to the acoustic sets, the electric sets will come later.

It's been years since I gave this session a listen. It's really nice for a lazy, hazy Sunday morning hanging out in the batcave!  :smoke:

On deck next is The Headphones Jam, I'm going all instrumental/experimental today.
