this recently leaked SBD from 11/28/97 got me thirsting for more SBDs!!
wondering if we can get a comprehensive list of SBDs in circ (i'll bet there already is one - but as usual i'm too lazy to search for it).
this list will no doubt be followed by me asking for some seeds so that i may upgrade. i'll be honest, i'd be most interested in 97->00 boards, but i think a comprehensive list is in order... im gonna sticky this as well.
ok, so i'm not that lazy... i just found this link in another thread..
http://www.freedumb.net/sbd/sbdlist.html
ok, here's that link in text form... i may take the time to link each of these with their DB link, we'll see...
Phish SBD'S List Version 13 - Posted 5/15/03
The following is a list of known soundboard recordings of Phish that are
in circulation. It is by no means a definitive list. It is a working
document only. However, if a show is on the list, you can be sure this
tape exists in some SBD form. Also, since digital soundboards (DSBD)
should be preferable to soundboard tapes, versions with analog
generations will not be listed if DSBD's exist. Other then situations
such as this, no distinctions are meant to be made as to what is a good,
better, or best source for any particular show.
DN = Digital Noise DO = Dropouts
Cuts in tapes are not exact for now. They may be before, after, or during a
song. However, in most cases where a "/" denotes a cut, the marking before
a song name indicates the beginning of the song is missing, in the middle
(Ie. "Go/lgi") means the middle of the song in question is cut or
missing,
and after signifies the end of the song is cut.
If you have corrections, additions, or comments on this list please
e-mail Phil Nazzaro at Phil@intac.com. Please remember, I am not
interested in rumours, tapes that are not for trade, typos in the list,
or anything you are not *absolutely* sure about (ie. I think there are 2
cassette gens in this tape because it has about that much hiss). i am
only interested hard facts (ie. so and so taped this show, and was
provided a SBD patch). When submitting info please include the date(s)
you will be refering to in the subject header. In the body, include
dates, venue/city/state info, and try to keep the genealogy at least
close to the standard the list uses. Constructive criticism is always
welcome.
*** Lastly, remember if you do submit information your identity will
_always_ remain secret with me. People are given credit in a mass
thank you at the end of the document. Specific shows will not be matched to
names. Or, if yoiu prefer, ask me to leave your name off the end credits
altogether. DO NOT write me asking where you can get such and such tape.

thanks for the list, it doesn't look complete, i know 6/13/00 SBD exists and 7/10/00 Matrix exists as well as a 8/13/97 SBD. just a few off the top of my head.
yeah, it says its not complete, but its closer than nothing ;)
Quotebut its closer than nothing

So, should we have a definitive list? How about getting back to the wiki for a second. Since wikis are made to be updated by users, we should have this interactive list plus the non-circulating list over there. I know only a few of us have access right now and we're kind of on hiatus, but this is a perfect candidate for the wiki. I could get back into entering stuff too. I suppose that means we need the wiki looked at. I haven't been in a while and forgot the "new" address with slave or ghost in it or whatever. I was having issues when I hit save.
I'll set some things in motion.

I'm jonesing for more SBD's myself funk
You can add 8/8/98 Merriweather Post Pavilion to that list. Off the top of my head, That was just the first that I noticed was missing. :-D
And weren't there a bunch of SBD recordings recently posted in project 2000??? Like the Deer Creek Shows?
mmmmm do i smell a project sbd cooking?
we had talked about a project sbd, and jedifunk, what leek of 11/28/97 are you talking about?
there are alot of sbds on that list i had no idea existed, we should get a list going of what sbds we at the paug have, from say 94 or 95 through 2000.
here is the thread, whatapiper.
i will put another fresh link up in about an hour.

I've seen or heard almost all the SBDs on that list from 95 on - except 8/11/97. I think that's a mistake.
Actually, there's a couple more that I'm iffy on - 12/6/96 and some of those Fall 95s.

I didn't see an entry on db.etree.org. I would hope that one exists and that it is rare, but its not likely.
thanks aug, super tasty nugget there!
dsbd of my favorite ghost, holy $hit, and of a non PH show i attended!!! thanks again. :-D
im losing face to this recording, how did this amazing kickdown come about?
Ya, I second that. This is a wonderful thing!!!! I wish we knew where it came from. :-D
what web site did 11/28 come from
dont know... mattstick found the link to sendspace on another forum, and i dont think he ever mentioned what forum that was...

Did anyone else see the guy ATRAIN who claims this list is "WAY" out dated on one of the seeds over at bt.etree.org for project '92? He said he was also trying to join this place? I would like to see what he has to offer and maybe an update would be in order. I would be up for doing the updating myself, I have been looking for ways to contribute and give back to the community. :-D My bandwidth is very limited here at work so I am unable to seed very much, if at all. :|
atrain pretty much knows the ins and outs of what is going on and what is and is not out there and in what format/source.
he's also known as marmar. I am sure you've seen his name in text files.
Hahaha.....yes I am the ATRAIN.....wooowoooo
mr. antelope.....there are so many shows missing from Phil's SBD list that it's insane.....
examples:
11/08/90 Madison, WI SBD>Cass1>DAT SNDCK + Set I
* I have both sets + SNDCK......seeded to bt.etree a while ago.....
2/17/90....isn't even listed....but it's out there.....we seeded that as part of the Redmond Masters.....
5/20/89
10/13/89

Find that one on Phil's SBD list.....

All Hail the Marmar, cough cough, or do I mean Atrain. WOOOOOWOOOOO!!!!! Good to have ya, and seriously let me know if you need help updating the list. I would be happy to help put together the "definitive" list. :-D :beers:
i think at some point on this thread, we had discussed that the list was pretty out of date, and were using this thread to fill in the gaps...
Maybe we could get another forum for vids in circ, sbds in circ, shows not in circ, soundchecks in circ, it should help us to keep our s  :evil:t together and improve our lists, just a thought
I personally love this entry:
08/28/93 Berkeley, CA SBD>Cass1>DAT Hissy - "Sounds like crap"
LMAO...has anyone downloaded the version I seeded?
i listen to your 8/28/93 about once a month. some seriously groovin material! :phish:

The only problem with that......if everyone veoted for a show they don't have, that would suck huh?........and trust me, their archive only has about 65-70% of the shows they've played......and not all of em are SBD's.......would you pay for an "official" AUD recording?......didn't think so.....
But yeah...that would be a cool idea.......put up a list of say...10 shows that are up for consideration, and have the fans vote on which one of the 10 should be done......

Speaking of SBD"s.........
ok man....I am going through my tapes that I haven't listened to yet....(yes I have that many tapes.....) anyways.......I've been getting in over my head here....between all the goodies that caravan2k1 has given me to do, and now this old box of mine.....my god...I pulled out 10 tapes to check em today, and 8 out of the 10 were SBD's......none documented as circulating as SBD's in any lists anywhere.......
Get ready for the flood gates to open soon......
I can't wait. Thanks for your hard work! :-D
so wait a second...
is this Project SBD thing happening or not?
if so, where?
and where is this 11/28/97 on etree?!?!
11-28 was never on etree.
if you want to organize a project SBD, go for it.
a
upon re-reading my post, i realize i probably sound like a greedy asshole, and for this i apologize. i have just gotten to the point where i can't listen to audience recordings anymore.
i would love to organize a project SBD, but i have very little upload bandwidth (<6kb/s out of respect to my roommates and the surrounding neighborhood) and no SBDs that don't circulate widely already.
is there a reason that 11/28/97 never made it to etree?
I believe it was circulating in lossy, therefore, no distribution on bt.etree
Could be wrong though as I didn't have a listen when it hit the streets...
yep.
it just popped up one day, but was in m4a format.
here is the show if you still need it.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/87c8aj
a SBD project would be absolutely insane, since so many of the earlier shows circulate as such.
a
thank you so much for that link!!!!
these days i listen to most of my music on my iPod anyway [westcider ducks as the purists throw stones], so i really don't mind the .m4a, though i always like to have lossless data backups. portable .flac players are just a little bit over the horizon (actually Rockbox for the iPod will already do it, but it eats up too much hard drive space and battery life).
my idea of the sbd project would be post-grand piano only, or maybe post-94, though looking at the list at the beginning of this thread, apparently there are a lot of sbds after that point as well. what i find interesting is the number of sbds on that list that are not in the etree database.
Post grand piano may be a good idea... although 1993 is a pretty heavily circulated year in general, and im pretty sure a Project 93 was just completed sometime recently this summer... but theres still always people who dont have shows or who dont have the sbd copy and would want to upload... so it wouldnt hurt anyway. im pretty sure it was after 1993 that Paul stopped letting people patch into the board... so maybe you could just find out when that actually happened, and go from there?
man... Clifford Ball, Lemonwheel and 12/11/97 soundboard... *shudders*
does anyone have the lemonwheel soundboards, I dont see them on etree
There is an FM-SBD of the 2nd day that I circulated earlier this year, but as far as I know there are no other SBDs in circ for The Lemonwheel.
Just got SBD's for:
11-27/28-1992 SBD,
12-12-92 SBD,
5-2-93 SBD,
4-10-93 II SBD,

The Ghost and YEM from that show are freaking incredible, so so cool and funky, just super smooth, plus black eyed katy taboot. Look for it around 7 tonight, central time.

I have 8/14/98 (FM>DAT>CDR) and 8/15/98 & 8/16/98 FM>DAT on DAT if Marmar would like to transfer them (I have a nice Sony R500 but my stand alone has died and I don't have a way to transfer them to my computer).
Also, if someone could help me w/ the an upload of the partial 4/22/92 IIp (http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=18560), I'd appreciate it! :-)
In case you haven't heard.....I've walked away from doing that sort of thing anymore......I'm currently trying to figure out how I'm gonna get everyones tapes back to them.....
Sorry.....wish I could help....really I wish I could......Depression has a way of taking over ones life, and right now I'm completely consumed by it.....
Besides....I was never really any good at it anyways.....all I did was fuck up things, since that's all I'm good at inherently.
I'm sorry to hear that Marmar, and I hope things improve for you and life becomes brighter for you. I thought you did a great job on all you did, and thank you for your efforts. Take good care and I hope things work out for you.
p.s. If someone else would like to transfer the DATS, please let me know.
Thanks for the kind words regarding the txfers and stuff....
Things won't improve though, so don't waste your energies on insignificant me.

We never did a project SBD. Kinda went the way of project Signal....since so many of us have moved toward complete collections these partial projects have fallen by the wayside.
