looks like this has the upside of being a slightly above avg 3.0 show. Enough for me to be curious about, but possum and meatstick make me cringe now.

The return of the 6 min Halley's is pretty disappointing as well

but expected

I remember everyone being pretty pissed at 12/1/95 about the short Halley's.

Yeah, this is exactly like 12-01-1995

Halley's is a fun song with or without a jam.  A show shouldn't hinge on whether or not they decided to extend a song that was RARELY a jam song before 1997 (I would say NEVER, but there is the monster from 12/14/95 which bucks the trend).

I understand it, I too like long Halley's.  But a shortened one isn't really a point of contention for me.

Sure, it's a fun song. But after the first extended version of 3.0, are you really telling me you had no problem with a typical 3.0 Halley's late in a second set devoid of jams (with the possible exception of R&R)?

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

Second set was blueballs big time after RnR.

But they played Antelope?! In the 2nd set?! That's gotta be worth the price of admission right there.

No. That RnR I thought was headed somewhere... like a tone for the second set. Also, 'Lope should have never been played after a 1 show gap! The version in Cuyahoga was hot. I really like it, and this one falls flat in comparison.

As sarcastic as that comment is, I'm am going to seriously answer it.

Yes.

OK. Here's one that's not so sarcastic: I truly wish I could blindly defend mediocrity like you. It is inspiring.

haters.
it was a fun show.  the reality is that it is 3.0 phish.  this is what you're going to get.
do fewer shows and have fun when you do see them.
my approach worked by not listening to much phish at all lately and hearing no recent shows.  I enjoyed it a lot more tonight.

but after a crappy 2 days at work, it was just great to be around people I can tolerate and a great community.

good night all.
go back to hating.

It may appear mediocre to you, but personally, I would have still loved to have been there. It may be due to my lack of attended shows (only nine, as of right now), or just my fascination with the music, but I still love it, despite their apparent mistakes over the past couple of years. I'm sorry you don't share my opinion, I didn't intend to spark such bad feelings from you.

WhatstheUse?

I had a great time tonight -- got to chill with a bunch of paugers I love!

Rock and Roll was the highlight for me.

I had a TON of fun. Phish shows are the best.

This actually made me really happy. Thank you for sharing.

just listened to halley's again.  it was even long enough to get blue balled from.
although meatstick is always fun too.

off to bed for real now that my beer is done.  mike came through nicer on the recording.  I was hoping he did because it sounded nice at the show.

sorry wtu.  I basically got there right before doors and I had to meet someone to give him his ticket.
and sorry undermind.  it was way too hard to maneuver in the section and I didn't get to say hi besides the wave.
