Only show I was ever second row center for a show, by the luck of the draw. that's where my ticket was. It's also the only Phish show at Deer Creek where I've used my Pavilion ticket for anything other than a seat before the show, out of the sun. Or as shelter from the rain.... But yeas, it's an amazing MFMF. I hope they do the whole -> MLT -> Whipping Post!!! I'd love a nice crisp sbd of that.
KShaps is killing it with this pick.
Butter segue yowwww
:rockout: stoked to hear a sbd snippet of that deer creek show!
Small conciliation but Shapz is laying down a sick archives show.
Helping get me down the road for sure.

Thanks for that!
Probably the best FTA, IMO.
So many shows here that can be released like 7-2-94, 7-25-99 and 9-12-99
Omaha is mint too, but that's pretty much the meat right there.

That entire tour has bits and pieces just like this Omaha section, really high levels of playing, but not too many shows with release quality all the way through (although if Chula Vista is release worthy, then....). Fall 96 is crying for 'A Live One' box set type treatment. An entire FTA could be drawn just off that tour, for instance.
so I suppose that's gonna be it for the weekend? I don't remember ever hearing what the planned Archives schedule was. i haven't gotten to listen yet, but I'm extremely happy about this (the Archives). we got stuck in traffic and were finally driving into the DC lot at the end of Whipping Post, great to see that in SBD. and the Polaris tour closer was a crazy crazy crazy night for me, I'm going to save that track cuz I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to react to it.
also, didn't Kevin use 11/9/95 in the Coventry archives? interesting...
EDIT: nevermind, it was 10/21/95, which also opened with Tweeprise
I snagged it from a post over at PT, tagged the files and re-upped it as a zip. Unfortunately, it sounds as if the guy capturing the audio also captured some random other alert sounds from his computer on some of the tracks. Bummer.
I thought they already released that Timber -> Simple?

Apart from the Have Mercy, none of them were released already, unlike a lot of the stuff they've released over the past few years. They should put Shapiro in charge of the official LP releases.

I don't believe he's the one that picks which show to release. I could be wrong, though.

I want a 'Shapiro's Heroes' or 'Kevin's Heavens' series, akin to Dick's Picks.
oh maybe I'm thinking of the 12/6/97 Simple with the Bowie fakeout into Timber.
Almost done working my way through this. HOLY FUCK that 7/25/99 bit!!! I'd heard it before on Aud tapes but man, the SBD makes this thing into a whole new monster.
Also, THIS DISEASE! THIS is Phish, to me. This sound. Fish doing 16th notes on the ride cymbal and the band at cruising speed with a liquid hose jam. Fucking perfect.

Does this version have that record skipping/clock tick sound through the tracks like the original one does? I have no idea what that sound is and it's so annoying

Driving home from the airport last night they were playing the replay on SXM and I noticed the tick. Fuck that sucks!
Finally got around to listening to this today. The Gin was my personal highlight from this FTA. You know its going to be good when Mike is active in the chordal intro. Trey quotes some 12 bar in between verses. I like how the jam opens up near 10+. Mike sounding very much like Love Supreme and the bombastic bass he plays in the Cypress Melt. I love how the jam peaks into Rift space before they end it and return to the main theme. The pre-nirvana space that serves as the outro is butter on the top. Sick version.
