I actually wasn't a big fan of this one.  I guess because it was really more of a character study than a plot driven movie.  Granted the acting was fantastic, but I felt like that movie had been made 100 different times.  I'd post the generic plot summary but don't want to give away any spoilers.

I guess my point is, great for the acting, but you've already seen this movie even if you haven't watched it yet.

well...if there were any competition in films these days i might.
but its the oscars so who the f knows what they'll do...in other words, whatves.

though, IMO, i think his portrayal was excellent and classic indeed... it wasnt like the best acting ive ever seen or anything. IMO some peeps are really over-gushing praise on this one.
dont get me wrong, he rocked it all the way, but as far as best actors go, i have seen better in my time.
but probably not this year, right?!  :-)



so, i guess my answer is no i dont think he'll get it. just cause the oscars suck, not because he wont be the best of the year, or not because he doesnt deserve it in the first place.

Awesome.
I agree Heath Ledger will probably win an Oscar for this one, and I honestly think he would have stood a decent chance even if he'd lived.
