I thought you people were from the internet?

Everything is connected, because it's all being created by this one consciousness. And we are tiny reflections of the mind that is creating the universe.

You never drink alone when you have something good to listen to.

How have you people not heard of this thing?

Have you never been on tumblr?

I can honestly say never.

It might not make you a better person but, you're probably better off.

Pretty bummed to get this email this morning from the Tragically Hip. I haven't been to a show since 2011 but they've provided me with many a fun night over the last 25 years. Quite surprised they've decided to just hit the road but I'm sure they didn't come to that decision lightly.

QuoteHello friends.

We have some very tough news to share with you today, and we wish it wasn't so.

A few months ago, in December, Gord Downie was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

Since then, obviously, he's endured a lot of difficult times, and he has been fighting hard. In privacy along with his family, and through all of this, we've been standing by him.

So after 30-some years together as The Tragically Hip, thousands of shows, and hundreds of tours...

We've decided to do another one.

This feels like the right thing to do now, for Gord, and for all of us.

What we in The Hip receive, each time we play together, is a connection; with each other; with music and it's magic; and during the shows, a special connection with all of you, our incredible fans.

So, we're going to dig deep, and try to make this our best tour yet.

We hope you can come out and join us this summer - details and dates will be coming this week.

And we sincerely thank all of you, for your continued love and support,

Paul, GordD, Johnny, Rob, GordS

What a bummer, Tragically Hip tapes and CDs dominated my walkman/discman for several years in the early 90s.

PIE-GUY

I've never met anyone who wasn't Canadian who was actually a fan of the Hip. Ever.

But most Canadians fucking love those dudes. Fact.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

People who talk on cell phones at cemetaries

have some fucking respect
:frustrated:
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

And I thought waiting for them to get off my next machine at the gym was bad.
God damn, people.
We were all ready to pedal like hell to get that rocketship into orbit
