Everything is connected, because it's all being created by this one consciousness. And we are tiny reflections of the mind that is creating the universe.

Poster is Fats by Terrance Osborne - which is killing me because I was done buying JF Posters after the Meters poster last year, but I have EVERY T. Osborne JF poster and I really should keep that trend going... but I have NO PLACE to put it and a wife who is very much done with me buying JF Posters... FML!!!

Also, Congo poster is Big Freedia! BWAHAHA!! I don't know why that's funny, but it is. It's a hilarious poster. I love it.

Yeah man, I hear you, first weekend def looks better this year than second, but that's the gamble you take. But I think the night shows will make up for that. I'll be there the 3rd thru 7th...looking at grabbing jrad tickets too, but wasn't sure which night I wanted to go, but I'll grab first night now then as well. I think Dave has tickets for both nights. But with so much music to see, I don't want to spend both Friday and Saturday at JRAD. We'll see, I'm sure, you're an experienced jazzfester at this point, you know about the grids....but in case you don't keep a look out here:

http://www.jazzfestgrids.com/second_weekend/

and those will fill in as more and more clubs add shows over the next few months....

ETA: friday night jrad tickets secured.

Also, the Big Freedia poster is......something.

Nice! That dude is a machine all week. Just browsing through the grids, hes gotta play like 2-4 shows a day.
I might hit up that M&Ms show at One Eyed Jacks on 5/3 too. The worship my organ with Kamasi sit in last year was def a highlight of the weekend so might do that on Friday night again.

gah

Yeah, I'm looking at hittin gup Dr. Klaw post JRAD friday night.

And even though I've sworn off late night shows, I'm thinking Greyboy at Tips late night Saturday...hard to resist.

Then again, as the grids fill up, more and more options will become available, so who knows.
