Been a minute since I listened, but this show kicks ass!

I was at this show. Had I not attended the next night, it would be my favorite attended from 94.

Nice pick.

birdman

I too was there. The smoke machine was in overdrive during the Mikes. Love this show.
Paug FTMFW!

PIE-GUY

Great show. Little Drummer Boy FTMFW! I'm not sure I've really listened to it since, either, but I remember loving it. It got totally overshadowed by the next night, but it was insanely good.

Unfortunately, I have no way to listen to it this week. None.

I am out. Sorry, folks.

I'll hold pie-guy's slot this week with a stellar review and he can stay in.

Thanks, but I'm already two weeks behind. I really need to bow out.

I

Mound - Oh yeah, rewind already?  Great opener.

Simple - Short but not lacking on the rockin splendor.

Julius - Torn to shreds.

Gin - Nothing special, just plain early gin.  Get the lulz outta the way now.

Reba - Quite moving.

DFB - I like it.

Ice - Dark please..

Antelope - Can you say rage?

II

Suzy - Nailed it.

NICU - Nice and bouncy.

Mikes - Ripping right off the line.  Never looking back.

Mango - Cool little effect work for a smooth segue into this one.  I love this song.

Weekapaug - More awesome, nothing but a damn throw down.  Real spacy from all, and im dancing in my room now.  Killin the drummer boy teases.  FIRE!

Contact - couldn't think of a better way to cool down from that than this.  Fun and gets down, as it should.

Llama - Second set Llama, don't mind if I do.

HYHU>Love You>HYHU - Real cool vac section.  Enjoyed.

Coil - Beautiful way to close out

Bold as Love - And send ya home with a smile.

I enjoyed this show once again.  Top to bottom what I love about this band.  The whole first set rocks with some great selections. Second set is all about the mikes segment for me.  Weekapaug highlight of show fo sho.  Show gets an A from me.

I
Mound -  :-o  Fantastic way to start a show.

Simple - Though they don't stretch it out too much at this point, I could have used a few more minutes.

Julius - Fish loves this tune, methinks.  He rips the shit outta this one, whoopin it up most of the time.  I already <3 this show.

Gin - Ahh, the days before everyone yelled "We love to take a bath."  That shit is gettin real tired.  Anywho, fack,  the interplay between Fish and Trey in the beginning of the jam is the shit...the interplay between all of em, really.  They keep droppin into some dark places only to bring it back, and repeat.  Abrupt nailed ending.  Great Gin.

Bouncin - This actually had some life to it.

Axilla II - Mikes scream.....that was wicked man.

Reba - Whoops, Trey has gotten ahead of himself a few times now.  Some beautiful jazz playing from Trey and Fish early on.  The jam grows and grows to an ecstatic peak properly.

DFB - Love it.

Ice - Damn, this show....  Page gets high up on them ivories to start his solo.  Crazy little jam by Mike and Trey underneath.  TeH bAlm.

Antelope - Whoooo!  Whoa, rager in progress.  Just when you think it can't rage any harder comes moar rage in your face.  Mike shakes the joint in the breakdown.

Holy Set I...

II
Suzy - Some great playing thrown down by the Chairman.  Hot Suzy, melts into...

NICU - Good stuff

Mikes - The audience is in freakout mode.  Damn, this melts into some pure psychedelic madness.  Wait, what's this...

Mango - No way!  Pretty much perfect, right into >

Paug - Nice variation on the intro from Mike.  Page is flying non-stop.  Not sure what to call the jam that ensues except fucking awesome.  Fish throws in a vocal jam which is great.  The Little Drummer boy jam is, like this 'paug....incredible.  Damn.

Contact - A cool down is definitely in order, if you're into that sort of thing.

Llama - Moar rage.

Love You - A more beloved drummer you will not find.  The crowd roars for him, as they should cause he's been killing it all night.  Dr. Seuss on the drums.  Good stuff.

Coil - Some heavy B&D combos before Page settles in. Trey plays along for a good while.  Page brought the house down as usual.

E
Bold as Love - Great way to cap off this show.

Wow.  Set I was incredible all the way through and the Mikes Groove with a side of Mango was really remarkable.
Gotta hand this show an A/A+
Thanks for the listen Jezroc.
