Loooovvve seeing the Halloween tunes pop up. They seem a lock for re-play at this point, you can tell Trey really likes playing them.
Bring in the dude!

Trevor Noah last night kicked off his Loud and Clear tour in Norfolk (of all places)....he's good on the Daily Show, but man, his stand up is great. Dig all his Netflix specials too, so this was a treat getting to see him live with all new fresh material. Def worth checking out, if you're into you know, laughing and stuff.  :hereitisyousentimentalbastard

Not a chance I'd miss this if it was anywhere near my neck of the woods.
Glad it was great.

I saw Bill Frisell Trio tonight at the Continental Club. Everything about that last sentence is fucking incredible. It's shocking how great that was.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

Did you catch Red Baraat? The guitarist in that band and Joe Russo were both in Fat Mama – which was one of the local college bands we all saw and rolled with when I was in college in Boulder in the 90's.

Yes, we saw them in the side bar before the show - they were great. The guitarist came out at the start of the second set also for Blues and St. Stephen...

We were trying to guess what they would play when Joe brought some or all of them (Red Baraat) out and figured it would be something off BFA. Didn't know he was in a band with the guitarist, but that's cool. He may have been guesting with Red Baraat also, don't know if he's a regular with them.

Birdman is there tonight.

EDIT:

Check out this vid of Jam -> Not Fade away, w/ Red Baraat. Bonus points to whoever spots my green Red Sox cap in the first crowd shots.

JRAD delivered the goods once again last night. These guys just tap into that psychedelic vibe. So good. Also the Capitol Theatre is just outstanding. They've got that place dialed in.
Thinking I should try and catch a few more shoes this winter.  :sbw:
