Crawford and Gonzalez: Total WAR = 12.2
Beltre and Martinez: Total WAR = 11.1

So adding Crawford and Gonzalez is worth 1 more win than Beltre and Martinez.  That should be neutralized by the further decline of Ortiz, Beckett and Lackey.

It is a great time to be a Phillies fan!!!

But did they need him?  They won the division without him last year, and now they lose Jason Werth, Ibanez and Polanco are a year older.

Can't argue with success, but I really wonder if the Philly GM knows what he's doing.

The money would have been better spent on a position player.

It just seems strange that they let Lee go in the first place.

I'm just happy he won't be playing in the A.L. East.

I'm just happy he won't be playing in the A.L. East.

The Yankees really took one on the chin with Lee going to the Phillies.  It should be interesting to see what they do now to try and sure up their rotation.

Is there really anything they can do?  I guess maybe Greinke?
