Just randomly popped on the Bethel Waves soundcheck and can confirm this thing still holds up as one of my favorite pieces of music the boys have done since coming back.

Just heard this for the first time.  Richard Davis on the bass, great stuff.

If you like that you'd probably dig a lot of the Gabor Szabo stuff on Impulse!

It's fucking great.

Songwriter James Toth (aka Wooden Wand), Hans Chew (Endless Boogie) & a couple cats from Royal Trux playing guitar rock with great lyrics that ties back to 2nd gen, post Dead, jambands before the funk thing infected everything.

Get it.

I use Google Music so it always gives recommendations, this is what's on now. More synth-y but follows suit in a more mellow style. Vocals a little meh, but the instrumentation is pretty solid.

Have 5 out of 8 Impulse titles, still need Gypsy '66, Jazz Raga and Simpatico w/ GM.  Spellbinder is my favorite w/ Chico on drums, Ron Carter on bass.

Simpatico is not that good.

I think The Sorcerer and More Sorcery are his best titles, but I've never heard "At Monterey" which I've read good reviews of.
