I think if USC beats ND next week, they move up to #2.  IMO, its hard to deserve a chance at the title if you didn;t win your conference.  This is coming from someone who loves michigan too.

unfortunately, theres no "good" way to choose from the eligible parties...

but its really cool that at least this year most of the top 5 teams are connected somehow... thus allowing us to perhaps better determine who is "most deserving"

the way i see it:
- USC wins out and is #2
- FL beats AR and is #4
- Mich falls to #3

if USC loses either of their last 2 games, its gonna be michigan... i dont see a way for any of the others to move up and pass them with them sitting at #2 already....

Well, one could say the same for Arkansas if they win out.  They have one loss in one of the toughest conferences in all of college football.  I feel as though they are just as qualified as Michigan and/or USC, if they beat FL to make it to the National Championship.  They may not be as good a team as Michigan, but still worthy of the bid.  But again, the SEC gets no love, Auburn went undefeated and still didn't get to play for the National Championship a few years back.  I am still mind boggled as to how you leave a team with the likes of Caddy Williams, Ronnie Brown, and Jason Campbell that went undefeated out?  Just doesn't make sense.
