So not sure if I mentioned this in past posts but I work with a chick that was hooking up with Jian Ghomeshi last year for 8 months or so. The stories she told me were straight out of a movie, dude was nuts. Anyway, looks like his conquests caught up with him, not that I think that is grounds for dismissal. This could get ugly for the CBC and will totally kill their ratings.

Weird story, I think he's trying to get ahead of the news cycle by claiming his innocence on Facebook. 

I'm all for privacy, but If he's a super-perv and it gets out that he does despicable things in the bedroom, whether he likes it or not that reflects on CBC and depending on the language of his contract you can probably justify his firing.

I read his FB diatribe last night - he has a point about consenting adults behind closed doors. Being fired over that alone is a bit like being fired over sodomy or homosexual behavior.

That said, crazy is as crazy does. If his proclivities lead him into the arms of crazy women who may turn on him, he should not be surprised. I'm not surprised. I want to believe him and I do for now. If he's being honest, I really hope he finds a way out the other side of this with his dignity and career somewhat in tact.

Pretty sure his dignity took a serious shit kickin' but he may be able to spin some of this to his advantage from a career standpoint. 
From what my friend told me, there was not much warning for the beatings she got but she kept going back so how can you hold that against the dude.
