wow.  that list is astoundingly lame.
we can't all get melted by Mandi Moore.

Zing!

BTW, Amanda happens to shorten her name to "Mandy" and not "Mandi".

The list is still lame-as-all-hell.

Also, there are choices on the list that Phish will obviously not play.  "Double Nickles On The Dime" being an obvious one for me.  Once on AOL chat I asked Mike G. to tell us how he felt about Mike Watt, and Mike's response was "I'd prefer not to talk about someone whom I don't like".  Since Mike G.  doesn't like Mike W., I'd see a Minutemen album as being a red herring.  (Same deal with the fireHose album.)

can we replace the list in the first post w/ the pt list w/ the band names?

do you mind, sophist?  you made quick work of that, well done.

and, so what the fuck was the first album to get eliminated?  i dont even know that cover.  saw the petty album w/ the axe in it as well.

we should update the first post w/ a master list and then strike each one as they get the axe.

Thank you!  It was driving me nuts as well.  I've seen that cover a million times!

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

I think the only choices that I think are outstanding on the list are

"Appetite For Destruction"-Guns n Roses (I would have prefferred the Use Your Illusions)
"Sports"-Huey Lewis and the News
"Yankee Hotel Foxtrot"-Wilco
"So"-Peter Gabriel
and
"Funeral"-Arcade Fire

There are so many better choices these duders could have made.
