bootleg or the LP video download?

I just ask because I was considering d/l the LP, but wasn't sure if it was an improvement/worth the $

keeb333

boot, was unaware there was an official release.

It's a show I have listened to many times, but actually SEEING it made me appreciate it even more!

I should probably just buy the YEM and check it out, huh?  Certainly the most bang for your buck.

keeb333

You should!  The video quality is probably somewhat better.  The copy I have isn't bad, but it isn't great either.

is that the one with the dude in the front with a red sweater on or something that is just jumping up and down the whole show? and every once in awhile he stops turns around looks at everyone, then turns around and keeps jumping again? i remember seeing that like 8 or 9 years ago on VHS and just kept cracking up at that guy.

if you mean the guy in the red sweatshirt with the mullet that just stands there with with his jaw on the floor most of the time then turns around and stares at the crowd with the "duh" look on his face then turns around and jumps every where, then yeah!

Earlier today I was trying to remember if I had that one, or not (was too lazy to dig through them all).  Now that I read those comments I definitely do!

And, iirc that YEM vocal jam kept referencing how cold it was outside.

Akron/Family - The Great American Mess

I think I need to check this out.  Is it more of a documentary, or a concert?

It's all live, cut from about 3 or 4 shows in 2006. The dvd came with the 1st edition of Love is Simple.
It's pretty freakin great. This is part of it:

I need this dvd... I purchased "Love Is Simple" on vinyl... no dvd.

Yeah i had to make that vinyl vs cd+dvd decision too and I ended up going with the cd+dvd.
Of course i ended up having to get the vinyl too a little later on.
Damn double-buying albums is going to make me a hobo one day...
I'd rather dwell in some dark holler where the sun refuses to shine, where the wild birds of heaven can't hear me when I whine.
