Sports Pics 2007
« on: February 22, 2008, 10:05:12 AM »
Post'em if ya got'em.  I went through a number of folders worth of pics I took over last year at various sporting events, Mostly O's/Ravens games.  I will post a few here, but feel free to add.  First is Ray Lewis doing his little pre-game dance to get the crowd going.  This ones for you Cleech!  :-D

Well, I only went to the one pre-season game Ravens/Redskins.  My buddy who gets tickets through work is a Ravens fan and I am never one to turn down a free ticket.  So I went to 2 Ravens games this year.   :-)  I did  get a few shots of the pre-seaosn game, but we were way up in the nose bleeds.  This first one is of the stadium when they had to clear everyone out due to lightning.  Kind of strange, but I thought it looked cool with no one out there.  The second is of the bloody mary bar on the club level.  Def. one of the best I've ever seen.  I am sure RJ and Igbo hit it up when they were there.   :-D

There is no way Tejada gets that tag down in time.

just got it.  those were with my Panasonic Lumix with the 10x optical zoom (equivalent to about 400mm).  it fits in my pocket and is almost as good as taking a big DSLR.  it's even pretty decent with dark shots, but not great... perfect for concerts.

great camera (and pics!), that's what my dad uses.  if i didn't have several thousand dollars of Nikon lenses, i'd have looked harder at Canon, but i'm really happy with my purchase.  been a Nikon fan all my life really, so no complaints.

Nikon makes a wonderful product.  I have been fortunate enough to use a friends D200 a bunch and have used some others quite a bit in the past (The GF had a d70 for a while).  They all takes great pictures and are solid.  Although, I have heard a number of complaints about the coolpix line.  They all seem to break down pretty quickly from what I've heard.  As for me, my first digital was a canon point and shoot, so I was already familiar with their layout for the most part.
