Any thoughts on the 08.09 show?  you know... Jerry and all.

LOL
That, if nothing happened at the Greek last year, nothing will happen this year.

Simple>Fire on the Mountain jam?  At the minimum, arguably purposeful.

That happened?

According to some people......I didn't really think so when I was there....best part of that show though...obvs

Just listened to it, you gotta be on a lot more drugs than I am right now to hear that as a FOTM jam.

That anniversary has only been acknowledged once that I can recall.

Shoreline '95 I'm Blue I'm Lonesome was dedicated to Jerry too. I'm with Hicks on the amount of drugs you need to hear FOTM in the Greek Simple though.

As for last night, I am excited to hear the collective "YUCK" when they go into Joy.

I forgot about that, I was thinking along the lines of day of shows but that definitely plays in my book.

There was also a Happy Birthday Jerry shout out at Shoreline '97 during Weekapaug.

Hicks

Trey mentioned Jerry and keeping the GD vibe alive at Shoreline 97 too.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

G. Augusto

At Shoreline '97, they played Cinnamon Girl for Jerry, obviously.

Anyone who ever played a part, they wouldn't turn around and hate it.

7 gorge repeats and no 20 minute rock and roll jam w/ theremin action = rather listen to the gorge

It had a Fire On The Mountain jam in it... so, yeah.

duh, the whole reason they call her "cinnamon girl" is because she's got a fire on her mountain.

I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

baaaahhhhh hahaha

On a side/on-topic note, I think the band is exercising good experiments with placing a downer song in between Mike's and Weekapaug.  However, Joy does not fit the "chill, sublime, and totally beautiful" criteria that I Am Hydrogen, FEFY, McGrupp, Tela, My Left Toe, and Billy Breathes meet.

The band is getting better; a lot of the stuff they're playing in the stuff on Vimeo is fucking actually really incredible.  For whatever reason, they just haven't totally been able to string the playing into the song-choice category so much.

If they're looking for inventiveness or doing something thats a break from the norm... then why not drop like, a Mike's -> ACDC Bag -> Harry Hood > Nothing -> Waves -> Light -> Twist > Stash > Weekapaug

I think I got it but he's such a spaz he'll probably never open this thread again

is anyone else wondering if this will be a new tradition? (because hyhu was played)?

instead of fishman "making a fool of himself" by playing the vacuum again & again,
maybe the new older, wiser, more sophisticated fish wants to choose a (more complex?) drum based song for his feature?

I don't know if it was intentional, but I fully support the idea. I am somewhat dubious of a more sophisticated Fish though.
