Haven't heard it in a while, but I want to say the 6.10 Tokyo show. Drawing a total blank on the 1st set, but unless I'm misremembering, the second's def got some moments.

Definitely the Drum Logos show. Actually, imo, much of the Japan run gets overlooked. Some gems in there.

yeah, Drum Logos crushes everything from that year imo.

I can also dig 6-23, 6-24, 9-17 and 7-11 for the fun factor

Edit: actually, everything from Big Cypress, past midnight, is the best

I also need to throw a nod out to 10/4 as I was in attendance. Coors Amph. was a great place to watch the sunset during a show. Had a great time that night.

Yeah, they really are. If people don't like the Japan run that's okay. To me, it's overlooked and underrated. 6/10, 6/14, and 6/16 are my favs. I have the Japan shows from 1999 and they're great too. Phish loves Japan. Japan loves Phish. They should go back there and do a mini tour again.

Seriously, 06-14-00 is in my top 10 phish shows of all time.

There is virtually no slop (which was occurring pretty often @ this point)

Cities has got the laid back space funk
Gumbo goes to the moon and back
BOTT has got to be the best version ever (I'd take it over Nassau 03)
Twist takes you on a laid back, psychedelic trip and is my second fav. version ever (only to Island Tour)
The Fukuoka Jam is some of the trippiest, funkiest pure Phish improve out there.

Pretty darn solid versions of Carini, SOAM, and 2001 as well imo.

Some of my favorite Phish too. There's a reason they released it as a LP. Sick as hell.

I dunno. There are moments but I did a lot of that summer tour (TO, Star, Creek, Polaris....) and heard tight playing night after night. I would look to the fall run of 2000 for the sloppy playing that WTU is speaking of but there are still a couple tight numbers in there that are not to be discarded (9-14). Personally, I really enjoyed summer 2000 but I think that is because I like to dance and IMO summer 2000 was really dancy.........so sue me.

Another bruhmp for 5-22-00.  Not only is the Ghost insane, but the Bathtub Gin from the first set is the sickness, and the Split Open and Melt is pretty crunchy too.

Atypically great for a lack luster year.

7-11-00 is pretty good, too.

I'll give you a prime example of slop. Trey forgetting the words to Esther in Vegas. And the night before they had Kid Rock as a guest. I was not amused.

I think 2000 is, night over night, more consistent than what was on offer in 1999, but I have to admit I don't listen to 2000 all that much.

well said, I too love Fukuoka and Japan 00.

I enjoy particularly Caravan's tour narrative of Japan 00.  The delight of seeing Phish in another culture, kudos.

I agree with Radio City MH 5-22-00.  The Ghost is phenomenal!

Alpine Valley 7-8-00 is a super solid show from start to finish.

Roseland 5-23-00 is essential as well.

The flub actually came earlier, when someone decided to film something in Las Vegas and then later release said video, violating the motto

I totally agree...summer 2000 was tits...the majority of shows were solid w/ a few nice bustouts & some big jams...some of my faves were 6/24/00...6/28/00...6/29/00...7/3/00...7/4/00...7/6/00, & 7/12/00

The best shows in 2000 that I heard....were the tapes of shows from 1998.

But the Japan run was pretty solid.  There were some good shows throughout summer.  Deer Creek run was pretty tight and a lot of fun to be there.
