Saw the poster for it at the theater down the street from my house, looks interesting.
Also this movie looks interesting as well. The reviews are strange, no one seems to know how to describe it that well.

I saw this at Fantastic Fest, it's not an easy film to describe. I enjoyed it, though, it's pretty intense.

Mildly unsettling and quite well done.
Is this still Wombat?

Loved it.

Interesting that Blade Runner 2049 covered similar territory.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

saw Shape of Water, and it was really fucking good.  I'm not the biggest Guillermo del Toro fan in the world - he's really hit-or-miss with me - but this was just a wonderful movie from beginning to end.  Story was nice and avoided becoming kitchy somehow, and the acting was beyond superb. I'm just shocked reading an article today about how he made this movie for under $20m (re-used sets from The Strain between seasons, apparently). Movies like this are what I love about Hollywood, especially when you don't expect them.

Molly's Game - loved
Pitch Perfect 3 - meh
Father Figures - meh
Downsizing - liked it, but the trailer completely got the movie wrong (similar with Suburbicon which I also enjoyed)
Greatest Showman - good songs, but meh
Jumanji - enjoyed it more than I thought I would
Star Wars - meh
Shape of Water - loved
Lady Bird - loved

that's about far enough back...

Oh, and Bright on Netflix was better than I expected.

good, Lady Bird and Molly's Game are on my shortlist.  though i'm a bit fearful that they gave away the entirety of Molly's Game in the trailers...  what i'm really looking forward to is The Post.

Totally agree, the trailer looks amazeballs.

If, like me, you saw Three Billboards and had problems with it, you might enjoy this in-depth assessment from The New York Times.
