You guys know the rule... If you weren't there, it wasn't anything special...

Anyone who ever played a part, they wouldn't turn around and hate it.

Yeah, maybe it was a VHS-only release?

It was 2001/2002...

I went and checked the date.. it was in fact 02/02/01..  is there a link for the audio??

jasonsobel

the performance in Troy, NY was on 2/2/01
The performance in Burlington, VT was on 2/4/01.

The VHS that was released through dry goods was not a fan-shot video, but rather, was shot by a local access TV station in Burlington.  I still have the VHS in it's original plastic wrap.  I also have SHN copy of 2/4/01, and I have Dave's master DATs of 2/4/01 to transfer as well.  But I don't have a copy of 2/2/01.

I was at the Burlington performance, I thought it was a good time :)

I was just looking through the DAT's that I have from Dave, and it looks like I've also got a copy of Trey w/ VYO from 2/2/01 Troy, NY to transfer.  I can probably get all the VYO stuff transferred in early January.

I haven't heard this recording.  but the DAT that I have from Dave is a Schoeps source from the first row of the balcony, and I'd bet that it sounds much better than a sony mic into a minidisc.

I'll prioritize the Trey/VYO DATs and try to get them transferred this week or next :)

Totally agree your source is probably better. Alas if anyone wants me to seed the above let me know. Otherwise I say we wait it out until the schoeps source gets transferred.

thanks for your patience with this.  obviously, my 3 week old baby is taking up most of my time, and not leaving me a whole lot of time for DAT transfers.  These DATs are still on the top of my pile though, so they are not forgotten about :)

Oh! That! No, no, no, you're not ready to step into The Court of the Crimson King. At this stage in your training an album like that could turn you into an evil scientist.
