Anyone here watch Schitt's Creek?  It's a CBC comedy that stars Eugene and Daniel Levy, both of whom also created it, along with Catherine O'Hara.  It's about an incredibly out of touch multi-millionaire (maybe billionaire?) family that loses everything and has to adjust to motel life.  It's hilarious and the first two seasons are up on Netflix.
I saw the 1st season and thought it was pretty funny. I'll have to check out season 2

Well, The OA was maybe awesome or maybe terrible...I just can't tell.
Was she making this all up, or did this all really happen to her?  Did their (possibly nonsensical) "movements" stop the shooter or simply distract him for long enough to give the cafeteria worker time to tackle him?  Also, did I miss something, or did it feel very contrived -- the whole school shooting thing?  It kinda felt like they shoehorned it in at the last minute, giving no hints or reasons for its occurrence.  And if their "movements" do actually accomplish something, did they send OA to another dimension?  Did she die?  What was up with her house-arrest-ankle-bracelet?  I feel like I missed something there, too.

Many of those questions are nearly impossible to answer, I know.  It was intentionally ambiguous, which is fine with me.  (Though, I feel like the ankle bracelet one was something I actually did miss.)  Anyhow, I don't necessarily mind intentionally thin characters (and boy were they thin), designed only to tell a story that never really gets answered perfectly (what an understatement!), as long as the process of telling it makes you question big ideas and issues in a satisfying way that makes the story itself secondary (I can't really think of any TV series that I could use as good example, but Thomas Pynchon novels come to mind).  But I just can't tell if this show did that for me or not.  I suppose I have to sleep on it.
i stopped watching after "the movements."  lol.

I think you made the right choice.

At the time, I was considering whether it was some kind of really experimental "high art"...the kind of thing smart people would call "postmodern" and "edgy," and maybe it was just all going over my head.  But I'm pretty sure now that it's just a bad show.

You never drink alone when you have something good to listen to.

I'm glad Netflix is taking risks. It gives us Stranger Things and it gives us The OA.
One is amaze balls, the other started interesting then turned to hot garb.

Been loving the reboot of MST3K.  I'm three episodes in, so far.   :phish: reference in episode 3!

So damn good.  I hope there's a season three.

The new Kimmy Schmidt drops Friday, so that'll have to do for now.

I know I'm late to the party but I watched Sunshine Makers the other day and it was great.
It was actually the day after Nicholas Sand passed away.

Watched this yesterday.  Crazy shit!
His eyes were clean and pure but his mind was so deranged

New season of House of Cards started up if anyone is into that.
Starting to get a little too much like art imitating life lately.

I'm almost done with this.  I think I have three more to go...this show just keeps getting crazier!  Too bad this is its last season.

I'm probably going to start that next, and I was thinking something similar.  President Underwood seems so boring and establishment compared to the real life version.

It's funny - I'm about half-way through a binge on the entire West Wing series. It's making me feel better... but it's totally fantasy. It's like watching politics porn at this point. It's just so far removed from our current reality.

Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

I would kill for President Bartlet right now.  Hell, I'd happily take Vinick at this point!
