Speaking of turning 30....Reign in Blood came out 30 years ago last month.  I pretty much wore all the magnetic particles off that cassette in my walkman back in high school.

WhatstheUse?

My favorite BB album.

And yes, it's older than me.
Bring in the dude!

what album came out when you were four, Scotty?
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

Caravan2001

This came out when I was 17. It was pretty huge when it came out, but there were also a ton of haters at the time too.

Isn't Scotty the baby on the cover of Nevermind?

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

Yup - and Paul's Boutique was considered a huge flop when it came out. Check Your Head really made them big again.

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

Wow. Sixth grade for me. This (with Raising Hell on the other side of the cassette) was everything to us in Jersey, as PG can attest. This is pretty much all we listened to, and you were a chump if you didn't know all the words.

This led me down the NWA path shortly thereafter, which I still was listening to when I was introduced to  :syf: , followed shortly thereafter by  :phish: .  A long and winding road for sure. Gonna have to introduce this to the kids this weekend.
