Looks fine in both Firefox and Opera, my favorite browsers. The site seems to render a bit faster or maybe that's just me after enjoying my fifth black coffee.

I think that top box should scale the banner down as it closes in on it.  I actually liked the text on the left too.

Of course this is on my 23" with the resolution set to the max and I may have a different opinion at work tomorrow.  Really it's not a big issue either way.  I am so into how I can get to MY MESSAGES right from the page.

Jephrey

Oh, but it'd be cool if it wasn't called My Messages.  Makes it sound like the My Whatever folders in this bad operatiing system that I know about  :wink:  How about Private Messages?  Or just Messages?

Just giving you a hard time.

yes you are ;)

you're welcome to design a new template/theme and upload it to us.  until then, it is what it is  :mrgreen:

it seems to me to render much faster as well.  the new software appears to be the cause.

I like how you can hide the avatar box at the top!

Nice work. A bit to get used to, but I think this will end up being a lot more aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks for all the time and work. It goes noticed.  :-)

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

that feature was actually there before, but the button for it was not as pronounced IMO.

Yeah, but if you hide the avatar you lose the search box ...

If it helps, here's some snippets of the code resulting from the php script (in reference to the double images for some of us using IE)

....
<img src="http://week4paug.net/tet/logo.gif" style="margin: 4px;" alt="week4paug.net" />
            </td>
            <td align="right" class="catbg">
               <img src="http://ghost.week4paug.net/Themes/default/images/smflogo.gif" style="margin: 2px;" alt="" />
            </td>
         </tr>
      </table>

.....

Odd thing is, when the page initially loads, both banners are displayed.  If I was to click on the image (as if to save to my computer) or if I reload, the picture becomes a broken link.

Honestly though, this whole post whoring thing is getting to be a little ridiculous.  But does having a higher post count make a cooler pauger?

tet

yeah i'm aware that code is there, but Firefox ignores the other image because it doesn't exist.  the question is, how to alter that code.  it's not just straight HTML editing, or this would be easy...

hey, is there a way to have each board display more topics per page?

also, it seems like when a topic has a reply to it, it isnt going to the top of the page anymore... any thoughts?

not that I know off hand...  it would increase load times though, so I don't think it's the best idea anyway.

it is on my browser.  looking under General right now, everything is in date/time order descending according to the far-right column.  the couple of exceptions are the 'sticky' topics by the top.

mmm, maybe i somehow missed something.  usually after i've read through topics i'm interested in i'll click "mark all read" and that does it... but i noticed a topic that was towards the bottom of my page that had a "new" icon next to it... i thought it odd since usually any new posts send that topic to the top.  oh well.

they may be considered new because you haven't looked at them yet, but i'd be surprised if the date/time is more recent for the ones at the bottom than the ones at the top.

The banner is fuxored like its repeating itself using Firefox on an Ubuntu Linux system.  I also dont like the news blurb where it is but Im guessing thats just a product of the new theme and not the new RC.  Looks nice, though, hope we can get the banner worked out.
