Oh! That! No, no, no, you're not ready to step into The Court of the Crimson King. At this stage in your training an album like that could turn you into an evil scientist.

Maybe...  Doubtful...

Terry

Where's the optimism?

At this point in my life, I'd rather go to http://www.marbleskidsmuseum.org/ and hang out in the AC with my kids...

But the last "good" PH show I saw was at MPP in 2000...

I use records for that and don't have to justify it to my friends.

Maybe they'll actually play good shows at MPP this year.

I'll be there.

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

2011 had its moments.

2010 was actually pretty good.

2010 wasnt that bad. mpp1 had a solid tweezer, unique random cover of "in an aeroplane over the sea", interesting wolfmans > slave. And the rock n roll > free > FEFY isnt too shabby either.

mpp2 was considered one of the better shows on leg 1 that tour. Bustouts, interesting 'saw it again' themed second set. And pretty solid 16 min piper.

sophist

Not hating.  If you can make it through both shows now, I'll say I'm wrong.  I've tried several times, shit load of cringe worthy moments in both shows.  I walked out of 6/26 thinking it was bad, and the tapes only confirmed that.

6/27 gets hyped the fuck up, but in the grand context of 3.0, it's not shit.  Lots of much better shows from 2010, even that tour.  I'd take 7/2 over that any day of the week.

Personally, nothing from summer 2010 really did it for me. 2011 was worse. 2009 was better than both, and 2012 kicked all three year's asses.
