Can't remember the last time I was this pumped for a show.Probably Curveball, expecting this to be a much better experience.

For real! It's going to be a completely unique Phish experience!

I just found my stubs.  Face value was $28.50 and I'm almost positive I saw people offering up $400-$450 outside the show.  There wasn't a ton of ticketless, but those that were there were serious about getting in.  That's 15-16 times face value which makes $1,000 for a night at the Sphere seem like the deal of the century.

Quote from: mistercharlie on April 10, 2024, 01:53:01 PM:hereyougoyousentimentalbastar  I have 3.

An old beat-up copy that I bought at a used bookstore.
The 2011 Rhino Reissue.
And now this one.

Well, I know I have this one, the 2010 Warner Bros albums box version, the DVDa, and at least an original version as well.

I struggled to decide whether or not to get this for the same reason. Regretting not getting it maybe I still will, the package looks great. I have an OG, the box version and the 2011 version. The 2011 sounds so good I decided to save some dough (I'm broke as a joke between the Sphere and Dover). I'll hopefully snag it eventually once I recover. In 8 years when my kids are out of college.

Trey's tone was so buttery for these shows. 99' was peak tone, IMO.

there is no question these shows were my gateway into the dead. 100%.  In fact, Trey's solos in Sugaree made me seek out other Sugarees to compare... which made me listen to other dead which made me a deadhead. This sugaree with Trey and Page is still my favorite of all time. Buttery is a great word for treys tone. And, I'm gonna go ahead and say page is a better keyboard player than any associated with the dead. Period.
Keyboard player, yes. But I think Brent was a better singer than Page.

Dangerous conversation.

lol. I was gonna say... wars have been started over less.  :willynilly:

Quote from: shoreline99 on April 09, 2024, 11:26:46 AMDrove up to the Adirondacks yesterday to see the total eclipse, and it was absolutely one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed. Waved at you across the Lake, Kelley ;)

My son is also in IN, Mr. C, and he got to see the full eclipse as well
I may be wrong, but it looked on Instagram like MBW took the family down to Bloomington to watch it. he and your son may have been in proximity.

Awesome! Hope his traffic on the ride home wasn't nearly as bad as ours was

Pretty sure he wasn't at the same eclipse darty, but who knows?  :hereyougoyousentimentalbastar  :beers:  :beerbang:  :hereyougoyousentimentalbastar

Yes, drove down to Bloomington with my boys.  It was awesome.
Traffic was fine, only took 9 hours to get home.  :o

Did you hang w/ Shatner?

Didn't see Bill.

He was in the IU stadium, with Janelle Monae! Gave a spoken word performance before the eclipse.

Did Janelle Monae show her boobs and something something boobieclipse?

Dark side of the boob.

I would posit that attendance bias strongly influences personal opinions about Brent's singing.  Since we're being dangerous
