Title: Welcome retro traders... ;)
Post by: guyforget on April 21, 2005, 02:04:57 AM
With the 2 recent threads on the topic I thought that maybe we could expand our demographic by letting some people organize trades and trees and such...  I admit that Im a pretty slow bnp'er these days but I am within a handfull of shows of having all of 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, and 1995 archived on both hard drives as well as dvdr media.  I could easily pass out entire tours/years/etc to those starting trees and vines and whatnot...

Just an idea...  pass it around?

great idea, i wish i had the $$$ to buy more drives so i could archive to both h/d and dvdr.  right now i go straight to dvdr and leave gems, dankseeds, sbds, LP, special guests, shows attended, etc on my drive as well.  the only tours i have compete with both methods are summer/fall 97, summer 96, and summer 93.  i would be into setting something up like that to pass around. thats quite a b&p

I have almost all of Fall/Winter 94(10-14-94 to 12-31-94)  and Winter 97 (11-14-97 to 12-31-97) with only a handful of shows missing. I would be willing to get either tour ready to loop within about a week. I also have the majority of 2000, but since project 2000 is going on right now I think will spread itself. Do we start a list or something....

I had a thought today that instead of asking one person to throw a whole year up at once, we could ask people to contribute a tour. How many people should this loop have, I'd say btwn 5 & 10, any more than that and turnaround time could be awfully long. I would love to start the loop for 97, with the majority of my contributions being from fall/winter. Source info has not yet been discussed, do we allow shows without info, I would prefer everything have source/transfer info, what do you guys think?

Here are my shows for 97:

Since I pasted all of my list off of phishhook some of the sources get cut off, if you need full info link away, www.phishhook.com/lists/discocape , I have a few shows from 97 (12/6--12/9--11/23--11/22--11/21 & 12/30) that I am missing info on but they were from the Project 97 so I could find the source info somewhere. Also 11-17 & 12-7 are both Live Phish so I can't offer those, however, I do have 11-17-97 in an unknown aud if necessary. I am ready to get this thing rollin', keep me updated.

I recently got shut down on the torrent thing, so I am just dying as I idly watch all the awesome shows I would like to download and help seed, but can't. I've got about 300 shows and I'd love to do a massive DVD trade with anyone who would be interested. I only did the torrent thing for about 4 months, so all of my 300+ shows were up on bt.etree between sept and dec 2006.

yeah, I usually just browse bt.etree and other sites just to look.  Occasionally I will see something I just have to have and download it.. but that doesn't happen often.  Reason being Im country livin' with nothing but dial-up to get me by.

And Allen, I should be getting a new HD pretty soon... the last one crapped out on me not long ago and I lost all my music so I had to start fresh again.. anyways, want to fill the new one up with some shows for me :-D
